A music band with no relevance in the Madrid music scene has caused the indignation of Madrid and Spanish Jews with the dissemination of a video in which the lyrics of one of their songs call for "bombing Tel Aviv."

The band, called Unite, performed last weekend at the Wurlitzer Ballroom, in the city center, on the occasion of Pride week in the gay community, and the spread of the video has caused a stir on the networks.

The song's chorus, “Lets Go Bomb Tel Aviv,” or in its LGBT acronym, has been considered by Jewish communities an exhortation to violence against Jews and against Israel.

The Observatory against Antisemitism, formed by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain (FCJE) and the Movement against Intolerance, believes that the song "calls to kill Jews en masse", while the ACOM organization that fights antisemitism calls it has been called an “apology for genocide.”

The song, released in 2021, is available on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube with scenes of Arab attacks, rocket fire and road kill, and even the red alert siren in Israel.

On several social networks, different Jewish and non-Jewish profiles suggest the idea of putting the band on trial, although it is doubtful that a procedure of this type will advance because the band is very little known and this would only give it greater importance. diffusion.

Furthermore, due to the volume of cases of advocacy of terrorism and dissemination of anti-Semitic hatred that have occurred in Spain since October 7, it is difficult to address all the cases in the judicial authorities.

La World Zionist Organization For his part, he believes that the song is “an example of violent anti-Semitic rhetoric.” Dr. Raheli Baratz, head of the Department of Combating Antisemitism, said in a statement that “we must not legitimize such incidents and behaviors, which are messages that call for harm to the State of Israel and Jews.”

“The ease with which a simple song during a performance can translate into physical violence is a matter of seconds. We must not allow such things to happen,” the official warned.

In the last nine months, Spain has been the scene of an unprecedented profusion of anti-Semitic hate crimes, the vast majority of them declarative, and various ministers of the extreme left in the Government of Pedro Sánchez have contributed to this phenomenon, without even him, nor any of their senior officials, have done the slightest to stop it.

Anti-Semitism, added to the harsh criticism against Israel for the war in Gaza, have led to an unprecedented diplomatic crisis in bilateral relations since 1986, when they were established.

  1. Let's see, millions of Muslims already live in Europe and those are the danger because they can be sleeping cells.

  2. The problem is not the religion that each person professes, but the fundamentalism that can arise in each of them. Fundamentalism, when transmuted into political organization, threatens freedom and the rule of law.
