Seven injured, one seriously, in northern Israel after a drone attack from Lebanon

Seven Israelis were injured, one of them seriously, by shrapnel in northern Israel in the Arab town of Maazra, near the city of Nahariya, a few kilometers from the border with Lebanon, where alarms sounded due to the entry of explosive drones from the Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah.

The injured are a man, in serious condition, and a woman, in moderate condition due to injuries to the lower extremities, both about 30 years old, who were transferred to the Nahariya hospital, reported the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service.

In addition, five other people were taken to the hospital in a very minor condition, after suffering hearing damage from the shock wave of the explosion.

«We saw the man unconscious in the car with a serious head injury from shrapnel. A woman who was completely conscious with his lower extremities was in a nearby parking lot. “We treated the man with mechanical ventilation and medication, and we evacuated him through the ICU [Intensive Care Unit] in very serious condition to the hospital,” said an MDA paramedic.

According to reports, two drones loaded with explosives launched from southern Lebanon entered Israeli airspace, and one of them was intercepted.

Sirens sounded in several towns in northern Israel, including the cities of Nahariya and Acre, on the Mediterranean coast, important population centers that have not been evacuated.

Prior to this incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that its Air Force had attacked a Hezbollah military structure in the Nabatieh area of ​​southern Lebanon, which "was used by several terrorists operating to carry carry out attacks against the State of Israel.

The Lebanese News Agency confirmed four deaths in the area of Nabatieh, presumably terrorists, but Hezbollah has not yet confirmed casualties.

"In addition, the Israeli Air Force attacked a Hezbollah military structure in the Khiam area," a military statement indicated.
