Docu.Text.09 is a documentary film festival taking place at the National Library of Israel from August 18 to 22.

This year, the annual celebration of documentary film seeks to create a space to reflect on issues of identity, memory and culture in times of war.

More than 20 documentary films will be projected in the interior and exterior spaces of the new complex of the National Library in Jerusalem, but there will also be talks, meetings with filmmakers, conferences and workshops.

It will be projected, among other things anselm, a documentary by famous German director Wim Wenders.

But all eyes are on the premiere of We Will Dance Again, a documentary directed by Yariv Mozer that tells the stories of grief and survival at the Nova desert rave during the attack on October 7, 2023. The screening will feature the director, and tickets are already sold out.

A seminar on wartime documentation will also be held in the library's archives.

The festival will conclude on August 22 with the screening of Eifo HaYeled – Sugar Time, an episode of the documentary series The Albums, followed by a live outdoor performance by the band with guest musician Yermi Kaplan.
