The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, alluded to the possibility of the EU considering sanctions after accusing another Israeli minister of inciting war crimes in Gaza.
“Sanctions must be on our EU agenda,” Borrell said through a message on the X social network.
Borrell affirmed that Israel's Minister of National Security, the far-right Itamar Ben Gvir, incites war crimes by urging to cut off the flow of fuel and aid to Palestinian civilians.
“While the world presses for a ceasefire in Gaza, Minister Ben Gvir asks to cut off fuel and aid to civilians,” Borrell said on the aforementioned social network.
He considered that, “like the sinister statements of Minister (Bezalel) Smotrich, this is an incitement to war crimes.”
Borrell had previously criticized Smotrich's statements in which he considered it "justified and moral" to let the two million inhabitants of Gaza die of hunger and thirst to achieve the release of the Israeli hostages who are held captive in the hands of the Islamic terrorist group Hamas. .
The head of community diplomacy supported the UN commissioner for human rights, Volker Türk, in his “strong condemnations” and urged the Israeli Government to “unequivocally distance itself from these incitements to commit war crimes.”
“I ask you to participate in good faith in the negotiations facilitated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt to achieve an immediate ceasefire,” he insisted.
EU foreign ministers are scheduled to meet informally in Brussels on August 28-29.
Ben Gvir accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of making a "serious mistake" by participating in the upcoming talks for a possible truce in the Gaza Strip, sponsored by a US draft, and assured that something like this would amount to to surrender to Hamas. EFE and Aurora
It seems that Mr. Borrell does not listen to Iran's threats against Israel nor does he see the bombings coming from terrorism sponsored and maintained by the same Iranian regime.
Doesn't the anti-Semitic dog ask for sanctions for the Islamists who want us dead?...borrel...suck it
Isrsrl should respond by establishing sanctions for Borrel and for any plot or person responsible in half of Europe who justifies or supports the October 7 attack on Israel, as well as the program carried out those days...
Borrel is a notorious lifelong anti-Semite who promotes boycott punishments and condemnations for governments and Israel when it tries to defend itself, the same as for other groups that promote boycotts against Israel on the planet, against individuals against Borrel, Israel should respond and counterattack the same way you do them
Borrel is an enemy of Israel and should be tried for collaborating with terrorism.
When Europe understands that our enemies are neither Canadians nor Belgians, but rather the worst that Iran can find in the area.
And what is Iran?, a country where it is a capital crime for a woman not to wear a veil, now a new victim, with a shot in the back from the morality police.
Europe should start looking at how to deal with it within its borders, not look at what some Israelis say.
