Co-Energy is an Israeli startup founded in 2014 that develops technology to address two of the world's most pressing challenges at the same time: the extreme increase in man-made waste and the constant growth in demand for clean energy.

Approximately 2.300 billion tons of waste are produced every year, for which recycling and education They are not sufficient solutions.

Thanks to projects like Co-Energy, these 2.300 billion tons of waste could be converted into 200.000 MW of energy, in the form of hydrogen, electricity, fuel and biochar.

The Israeli startup's system accepts all types of unprocessed waste, converting high-energy waste, such as plastics, into electricity, hydrogen or fuel, and organic waste such as food scraps, agricultural waste, wood and animal manure into biochar.

CEO Co-Energy, Aviv Dekel, explains that although the conversion of waste into value is not a new idea, his system overcomes the two main challenges when applying it: the technological difficulty of transforming waste into a useful resource and the need to make this technology attractive to potential users.
