Founded in 2020, Wiz is an American cloud security startup based in New York City that developed a platform that analyzes computing infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, among others.
What the platform does is look for combinations of risk factors that could allow malicious actors to gain control of cloud resources and exfiltrate valuable data. Wix currently employs about 1.995 people, and in 2022, Wiz claimed to be the fastest startup to scale from $1 million to $100 million in annual recurring revenue.
Recently, Wiz announced that it will acquire Dazz, an Israeli startup based in Palo Alto with offices in Tel Aviv and New York that developed a remediation platform based on generative artificial intelligence technologies.
With this acquisition, Wiz seeks to integrate Dazz’s capabilities to strengthen its cloud security platform. Dazz’s software enables cloud-based companies to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities in hours instead of weeks.
Assad Rappaport, co-founder and CEO of Wiz, said his “goal has always been to help organizations improve their security posture, not just by reporting risks, but by prioritizing and resolving them.”
