A few weeks after taking office as President of the United States, Donald Trump supports the negotiations that are being undertaken Joe Biden to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that allows release the Jewish hostages are kidnapped in Gaza Since the terrorist attack of 7th October 2023.
The political agreement between Biden and Trump is executed by Jake sullivan – current National Security Advisor – and his successor in office, Mike Waltz. Sullivan and Waltz they dialogue with absolute reserve in DC, and also they meet -separately- with Relatives of American kidnapped people who are at the mercy of the terrorist group Hamas.
In front of the hostages' families, Sullivan and Waltz pledged to replicate the efforts to obtain a truce and freedom for the captives
Trump takes office on January 20th, and has no intention of delaying the release of the hostages to show off a stunning political success. The president-elect of the United States wants the freedom of the captives immediately, And that was the message he conveyed to Biden through his adviser Waltz.
In this context, and empowered by the agreement between Biden and Trump, Sullivan met with Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday. This is the seventh time Sullivan has traveled to Tel Aviv to meet with the Israeli prime minister, and on this occasion he took an affirmative answer.
Netanyahu told Biden's adviser that do you agree with the terms of the ceasefire that is negotiated for months with Hamas.
The negotiation is starring Egypt y Qatar and the meetings take place in Cairo and Doha. Three days ago he travelled to Cairo Khalil Al Hayya -Hamas mediator- to maintain a key meeting with the Egyptian intelligence chief, Hasan Rashad. At that conclave, the envoy of the terrorist group endorsed the conditions of a possible ceasefire.
Hours later, David Barnea, director of the Mossad, embarked for Doha. Barnea met with Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani assured Barnea that Hamas was in a position to conclude a truce with Israel.
Barnea returned to Jerusalem and reported to Netanyahu, who met yesterday with Sullivan, Biden's National Security Advisor who is supported by Trump's transition team. Now, Sullivan travels to Doha and Cairo to close the information and return to Washington.
“Today I got the feeling that the Prime Minister (Netanyahu) is willing to reach an agreement. And when I go to Doha and Cairo, my goal will be to put us in a position to close this deal this month, not later,” Sullivan said at a press conference in Israel before leaving for Qatar.
The agreement for a truce between Israel and Hamas is supported in the following clauses:
1. The ceasefire will be extended -at least- for sixty days
2 Israel has no obligation to withdraw its troops from Gaza and will control the key corridors that Hamas used to smuggle weapons, explosives and medicines
3. Hamas only agrees to release hostages in its power. No responsibility is given for captives held by Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
4. Hamas must release all hostages regardless of age, gender or health status.
5. Israel agrees to release at least 200 Palestinian prisoners who are imprisoned for terrorist acts
6. Israel will facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid across the Egyptian border with Gaza.
Biden and Trump's intention is to make the truce and the freedom of the hostages happen before the end of December.
Last night in Jerusalem, Cairo, Doha and Washington There was a lot of expectation to close an agreement that is attempted -without results- for months.
The terrorists know it, they have no other way out, they no longer receive money from IRAN, and without this vile metal no one can claim. They have received so much punishment from ISRAEL that they never imagined. The terrorists, with Iran at the head, sentenced their death on October 7. Mr. Benjamin NETANYAHU had promised it and he fulfilled it.
If the Gazans return corpses instead of living people, Israel should give them the bodies of Gazans. Israel has previously released Gazans who later committed crimes.
