La Yom Kippur War It was a war that took place in the month of October 1973. That is why this year marks 50 years since this fundamental historical event in the history of the State of Israel.
For this reason, the State Archive of Israel made public a collection of nearly 3500 documents. These include 1000 photographs, 800 pieces of audio and almost 10 videos.
The collection allows you to relive the events minute by minute and experience the feelings of those who were present.
Ruti Abramovitz, head of the archive, said that the idea is “to make the archives and materials that tell the story of the Yom Kippur War more accessible. “Unlike other archival publications, this time we have chosen to show, as much as possible, the full history of the war, which affected all aspects of life in Israel.”
The organization worked for two and a half years on this project, so that the public can use original documents to learn more about the war conflict.
The materials are offered to the public in sections designed to facilitate the search for information, despite the complexity of the raw archival material.
You will be able to access original files from government ministries, military, diplomatic and civil documents. Also to testimonies, reports, discussions and evaluations of civil defense and information on the internal front during the war, among other things.
My respects to the Jewish people. Heroic as my nation. Congratulations to all Jewish citizens living in Paraguay. We love and respect them as true brothers.
