The three hostages released by Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Ohad Ben Ami, Eli Sharabi and Or Levy, are already in Israeli territory, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed, and will soon be transferred to a hospital.
The three were handed over by members of the Islamic terrorist group to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Deir al Balah, in the centre of the enclave.
The ICRC then took them to Israeli soldiers stationed in the Strip, who transferred them to a base in southern Israel where they will receive an initial medical check-up and meet their closest relatives, before being taken to hospital.
The three Israelis appeared very thin, with serious faces and aged after more than a year of captivity in Gaza, when they were forced onto a stage by the terrorists of the Palestinian group, before being handed over to the Red Cross.
In a sinister, Nazi-style ceremony, the masked terrorists forced them to answer questions in which they called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to stop the ceasefire and to do everything possible to ensure that the exchanges of hostages for Palestinian terrorists held in Israeli jails continue.
Since the ceasefire in Gaza began, 16 Israeli and five Thai hostages have been released in exchange for more than XNUMX imprisoned Palestinian terrorists.
In exchange for the Israelis released on Saturday, 183 terrorists held in Israeli jails will be released, including 111 Gazans who were arrested in the Strip following the attacks of October 7, 2023.
