According to a statement issued by the Israeli armed forces, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) identified and attacked the launchers located in the area of Beit Hanoun, to the North of the Gaza Strip, which at the time of the operation contained an additional rocket ready to be fired.
The operation was carried out as part of Israel's military actions in the Strip, a territory that has been under military siege for almost three months.
On Saturday at 16:14 (14:14 GMT), anti-missile alarms were activated in several areas of Jerusalem, Negev and areas of the West Bank, after the launch of two rockets from northern GazaBoth projectiles were intercepted by the Israeli defensive system, without causing casualties or material damage.
Hours earlier, in the early hours of the same day, sirens were activated in Jerusalem due to a missile launched from Yemen by the Houthis, an Iranian-backed group. This projectile was also intercepted before reaching Israeli territory.
