The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked targets of the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist groups across the Gaza Strip last night.
Last night, the Air Force bombed around 20 targets, including a Hamas site in the Shujaiya neighborhood of northern Gaza City, where Palestinian terrorists were found to be preparing to launch rockets into Israeli territory.
"During the night, the IDF attacked a Hamas military post in northern Gaza, where preparations were underway to fire rockets into Israeli territory," the military spokesperson said in a statement today.
At the same time, the Israeli Navy attacked several vessels belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad off the coast of Gaza that were used for terrorist activities.
"These vessels were intended to be used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad for terrorist activities," the military spokesman stressed in a statement.
This is the second consecutive night of attacks against terrorist targets in Gaza since the collapse of the ceasefire in the coastal enclave.
The Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health says thirteen people were killed in the Israeli attacks. However, this figure has not been independently verified. It also does not discriminate between civilians and armed forces.
