Six Jewish baseball players are chosen in the MLB draft

The Major League Baseball (MLB) draft It is the primary mechanism by which teams select amateur baseball players from high schools, colleges, and other clubs. 

The order is determined by a lottery system, and the team with the worst record has the best odds of receiving the first pick. 

This year's draft was recently held, bringing a new record: six Jewish baseball players were selected, one more than the previous year. Players from the Jewish community still represent less than 1% of the total players drafted.

The young promises are: Levi Sterling, 17, selected in the 37th position by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Charlie Beilenson, a pitcher selected by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round, Ryan Prager, chosen in the third round by the Los Angeles Angels, Josh Blum, selected by the New York Mets, Lyle Miller-Green, by the Chicago White Sox, and finally Michael Snyder, chosen by the Miami Marlins in the tenth round.
