On March 16, gunfire from Lebanon hit a car in the Israeli community of Avivim.
The shots are believed to have been fired with light weapons during the funeral of a Hezbollah terrorist in the village of Maroun al Ras.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked several Hezbollah positions in the village of Aynata in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli vehicle was hit by gunfire while parked at the Avivim Winery, located less than three kilometers from Maroun al Ras.
This same winery suffered multiple direct hits during the war and was completely burned to the ground.
Despite attempts to present the incident as a stray bullet, it is far from a coincidence.
This incident highlights the presence of armed Hezbollah terrorists operating in broad daylight in villages near the border.
This constitutes a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and highlights the ineffectiveness of both the Lebanese Armed Forces and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in enforcing it.
