Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated Tuesday that this morning's attack on Gaza "is not a one-day operation" and announced that Israel will continue operations against the Strip in the coming days.

"This is not a one-day attack. We will continue the military operation in the coming days," Sa'ar said in a meeting with the American Israel Public Relations Committee (AIPAC) at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Jerusalem, in a statement released by his office.

Saar asserted that the army has attacked the Hamas terrorist group and "other terror targets" in Gaza and emphasized that "every effort" is being made to minimize harm to Palestinian civilians.

The Israeli minister noted that the decision to resume attacks on Gaza was made "several days ago" and emphasized that the United States government was aware of the operation and supported it because "justice is on our side," he said.

He also justified the Israeli attack on Gaza because Hamas rejected two proposals put forward by US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to extend the first phase of the agreement.

"It's been 17 days since the first phase of the agreement concluded... We're at a dead end, with no hostage releases or military operations; the situation can't continue like this," he said.
