The Iranian attack on Israel provoked official condemnations from numerous countries around the world.

However, the statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry took a different stance.

While Russia called on all sides to exercise restraint, its announcement was clearly pro-Iran.

The ad presents the Iranian position, stating that the attack is a legitimate response in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter and Iran's right to self-defense following the attack on Damascus.

He also implied that Israel's attack was provocative and irresponsible.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson responded harshly to the Israeli ambassador in Moscow, who had called on Russia to condemn the Iranian attack, replying: "Remind me when Israel at least once condemned an attack by the Kiev regime on Russian territory?" ? You do not remember? Me neither. But I remember the frequent messages of support for Zelensky from [Israeli] officials.”

The Russian ambassador to the UN also justified the Iranian attack on Israel.

Russia's anti-Israel position and its alignment with Iran are not surprising.

It is another example of the strengthening of relations between Russia and Iran and of Moscow's positioning alongside Tehran in the global arena.

Cooperation between the two countries has increased significantly and, in the short and medium term, their strategic alliance will further deepen, constituting a significant threat to Israel's security.

The Russian reaction highlights the problematic nature of Israel's "sit on both sides of the fence" policy.

From Russia's perspective, especially after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Israel is seen as part of the Western camp and a protectorate of the United States.

Therefore, Israel's cautious attempts not to take a clear pro-Ukraine position do not contribute to Israel's relations with the West nor will they result in Russian support for Israeli interests.

Consequently, Israeli policymakers should take Russian policy into account and prepare for a further deterioration in relations between Russia and Israel, as well as Russian aid to Israel's enemies.

  1. If we cannot trust our main partner (I emphasize: partner, not friend) the United States, we can even less trust Putin, who will allow us certain movements in the Syrian sky as long as it suits him, but we cannot leave aside the fact that Vladimir Putin proved to be a relentless killer. , without limits, who poisons or throws out the window anyone who overshadows him. The photo that heads this article is very defining. We are used to seeing in a painting the political or spiritual leader who guides the host country. You will see who guides Vladimir Vladimirovich.

  2. Nothing different could be expected from the cradle of Marxism Stalinism Lenilism and all kkcommunism together. Strength Israel and soon the US with Donald Trump again.

  3. How can those ayatollahs say that Iran has the right to self-defense after the attack in Damascus. They believe that we do not know that they prepared the attack of 7.10.23/XNUMX/XNUMX and financed the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. They themselves are terrorists, because they want to annihilate Israel.
Israel only defends itself from those demon terrorists.
And Russia supporting the terrorists, they will soon attack them again as happened recently
