Members of the Kfar Aza Kibbutz near the Gaza border confirmed that Gali and Ziv Berman, 27-year-old twins, are alive.
In a message to the kibbutz residents, the Berman family said they know “in whose hands they are and how much their lives are in danger,” without giving further details.
The twins, originally from the voluntary agricultural commune, were kidnapped during the October 7, 2023 massacre perpetrated by the Islamic terrorist group Hamas on Israeli territory, and taken captive to Gaza.
Meanwhile, relatives of the hostages and activists blocked the main highway connecting Jerusalem to Tel Aviv to demand that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not jeopardize the ceasefire agreement and immediately send a delegation to Doha to negotiate the second phase.
Last night, Hamas announced that it would suspend the sixth hostage release, scheduled for this Saturday, until further notice.
US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, said Israel "can do whatever it wants" if Hamas does not release all the hostages on Saturday.
