Rabbi Kogan's murder reveals a growing wave of hatred.

The kidnapping and subsequent murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a member of the Chabad Lubavitch community in the United Arab Emirates, has been confirmed.

This unfortunate event sets off alarm bells that identify hatred towards the Jewish people, who have historically been persecuted and for over a year have been facing a war that they did not start and from which they defend themselves through their army, which tirelessly searches for its population kidnapped by the bloodthirsty terrorist group Hamas.

This is not an isolated case and it can be seen that it is not based solely on geopolitical facts.

This crime, which has so far gone unpunished, exposes a worrying reality that threatens the integrity of Jewish society on a global level, exposing an anti-Semitism that is reflected in the increase in attacks.

This goes beyond a territorial problem that intensified in 1948 when the State of Israel was created.

This crime is a response to hatred against an ethnic-religious and cultural community descended from the Hebrew people and the ancient Israelites. This crime was directed against a spiritual servant who maintained very close and supportive ties with his followers and which contains an explicit subtext, sending a clear message of persecution and hatred towards innocent civilians who have nothing to do with the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The case of criminal violence against Rabbi Kogan represents the beginning of a new wave of persecution and hatred towards the Jewish people, which we have witnessed in various media outlets, where irrational and excessive harassment of this people is manifested in various parts of the world.

Since October 7, anti-Semitism has spread globally, as a country defends itself with its resources, technology and army from constant terrorist attacks on several fronts, and at the same time must deal with systematic propaganda of victimization towards Palestinians, led by extreme groups and politicians, who seek to demonize the people of Israel, who are now defenseless in several regions of the world.

Social leaders and political authorities in each nation must undertake educational and awareness-raising campaigns to prevent the spread of this type of hatred, which goes against the identity of a people who have historically struggled to exist.
