A 70-year-old man was killed and four others were injured in a stabbing at the central bus station in Haifa, northern Israel, in what the Israeli Police described as a “terrorist attack” and whose perpetrator was shot dead on the spot.
"Emergency technicians and paramedics at Magen David Adom have declared a 70-year-old man dead and are treating four patients: three in serious condition (a man and a woman in their 30s and a 15-year-old teenager) and a 70-year-old woman in moderate condition," the emergency services announced in a statement.
Police confirmed shortly after in another statement on their broadcast channels that they had “neutralized and eliminated” the terrorist who carried out the attack.
The injured were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
