Nvidia, the international leader in chips and computer graphics, announced an investment in Israel.
The tech giant announced it will invest more than $500 million in building a new artificial intelligence (AI) research and development center at the Mevo Carmel Science and Industry Park near Yokne'am in northern Israel.
The goal is to transform this into one of the largest and most advanced data labs in the country. With an area of 10.000 square meters and a power capacity of up to 30 megawatts, this center will be designed to support the development of Nvidia products and services in Israel.
The center is expected to be operational by the first half of 2025. It will require hundreds of liquid-cooled servers equipped with Nvidia’s latest and fastest Blackwell AI chips, as well as data processing units developed in Israel.
Amit Krig, Head of Nvidia Israel and Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, said: “This new facility will enable our teams in Israel, as well as our new hires, to continue to lead the development of technologies that drive AI, the most important technological force of our time.”
