On May 9, as part of the State of Israel's Independence Day celebration, Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics published a report revealing data on the current state of national demographics and its history.
The total population of Israel today is 9.900 billion people. This total grew by 1.9% in the last year, with 189.000 more people since last Independence Day.
But the study also analyzes historical demographic transformations: for example, since 1948 more than 3.4 million immigrants have arrived in Israel. Almost half of that total came after 1990.
According to the current growth rate, it is expected that by May 9 the population of Israel will exceed ten million people, and by 2030 it would reach 11.1 million people. In 2048, one hundred years after independence, Israel would have a population of more than 15 million people.
The Statistics Bureau also revealed that the Israeli population is young, with approximately 28% between 0 and 14 years old and only 12% being 65 years old or older.
Governing the country wisely gives the excellent result of populating it, strengthening it spiritually and materially: Congratulations…!
