Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi for his performance during the war after the latter announced his resignation, effective March 6.

“The prime minister thanked the chief of staff for his long service and his command of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in the Renaissance War on seven fronts, which brought great achievements to the State of Israel,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

Netanyahu said he plans to meet in the coming days with Halevi, who has held the post since January 2023.

The Israeli president, Isaac Herzog also sent a message of recognition to the Chief of the General Staff, highlighting “his great achievements.”

“From the beginning of the campaign, he honestly made it clear that he assumed responsibility and even today, when he announced the end of his duties for his role in the serious failure of October 7, he deserves respect and gratitude for his performance and contribution,” he said in a message posted on social media.

Herzog called for a thorough investigation into the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, which left more than a thousand people dead.

"I reiterate my call for the creation of a state commission of inquiry into the disaster that will lead to learning lessons, assuming responsibilities, drawing conclusions and generating trust between citizens and their country," he added.

The creation of the state commission has been constantly hampered by the Netanyahu government, who considered it a distraction while managing the war in Gaza and, temporarily, in Lebanon.

Former Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir welcomed Halevi's resignation, saying it was "expected" regardless of the course of the war.

“The departure of the Chief of Staff should be welcomed, and I hope that someone offensive and strong will be appointed to the post, someone with whom we can defeat Hamas,” Ben Gvir said on social media.

The country's top military official asked to leave his post on March 6 this year. Until then, Halevi will oversee the army's investigations into the October 7 incident.

In his resignation letter, Halevi says his “responsibility” for the attacks haunts him “day after day, hour after hour.” Halevi had already indicated that he planned to resign once the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip was over.

So far, no political figure has claimed responsibility for the events of October 7, and all the resignations have been in the military or intelligence spheres.

According to polls, the majority of Israeli society, including voters who support the current governing coalition, are in favour of establishing a state commission to investigate the 7 October incident.

  1. Some Mexicans have behaved extremely advantageously since for each migrant interested in reaching the USA, the fee charged to put each undocumented person on the US border so that they can cross illegally into the USA, can be between 5 and 15 thousand dollars, depending on whether they are placed in Chicago or some other state in the USA.

This fee is what has prevented migration control and regional security in the USA/Mexico region, because there may be terrorist infiltrators such as Hezbollah already operating in Mexico.

Just at the Sasabe, Sonora border, it is said that nearly 500 illegal migrants have already crossed into the USA.

Noroña cannot speak of national sovereignty if each migrant pays for the migratory transit and that is what the Mexican government has not prevented as an accomplice.

Trying to cover up the fee for placing migrants at the border so that they cross illegally into the USA is not national sovereignty; it is acting against Mexico and against the USA.

It is a vile business taking advantage of illegal migration promoted by Father Solalinde on behalf of the Vatican.

May God bless, protect, strengthen and give wisdom to Israel and Mexico always….!!!
