Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday mourned the death of Israeli hostage Shlomo Mansur, who was killed during the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023 and whose body remains held hostage in the Gaza Strip.
“Shlomo was one of those who built the country and one of the founders of Kisufim,” the president said in a message, after residents of Kisufim confirmed his death in captivity on Tuesday.
Mantzur's name is one of 33 on the list of hostages to be released during the first phase of the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.
Hamas has confirmed that eight of the 33 abductees are not alive, but ominously has not yet specified who they are.
"We share the family's sadness. We will not rest or remain silent until he returns to Israel for burial," Netanyahu said.
Defense Minister Israel Katz later confirmed that the 85-year-old man was killed during Hamas attacks on October 7 and his body has remained captive in Gaza ever since.
Mantzur immigrated to Israel with his family when he was 13, after surviving the Farhud pogrom in Iraq. He is survived by his wife, five siblings, five children and twelve grandchildren.

And there are still friends of the Hamas terrorist murderers, like all the Sanchezes of Spain, who continue to support those degenerates maintained by the terrorist state of the MO. When will the international community wake up and go against all those who favor the terrorists?
