German group Lufthansa decided on Thursday to resume flights to Tel Aviv from February, following the announcement the day before from Qatar of an agreement to free the hostages and a ceasefire between the Islamic terrorist group Hamas and Israel that will come into effect on Sunday.
“Lufthansa Group has decided to resume flights to Tel Aviv as of 1 February 2025,” the company said in a notice on its website.
The airline has, however, maintained the suspension of the group's flights to Tehran until February 14.
The group's airlines will also not serve Beirut until February 28.
In addition to Lufthansa Airlines, the German group also owns the airlines SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, as well as the logistics service Lufthansa Cargo. Aurora and EFE
