The Israel Defense Forces have destroyed a Hamas underground weapons factory, which was accessed through a tunnel, in the central Gaza Strip, where fighting against the Islamic terrorist group continues.
"The underground facility contained workshops, hundreds of supplies for the production of rockets, projectiles and grenades, along with diving equipment," the military statement said, noting that the maritime equipment was intended to be used to infiltrate Israel by sea.
The tunnel route contained several long-term living areas equipped with an oven, a stove, food supplies, beds and offices, the military statement said.
In recent hours, the Israel Defense Forces have continued to intensively attack Palestinian terrorist groups in the central and northern areas of Gaza, the latter with the help of a third brigade, the Kfir Combat Brigade, deployed last night alongside the Givati and 401st Brigades, which were already operating in the Yabalia area, in a localized campaign that began 27 days ago.
