The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched its largest military exercise in the last twenty years, along the border with Lebanon, at a time of growing tension with Iran and its junior partner, the Lebanese Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah. .

Military sources specified that the military exercises will last eleven days - from September 4 to 14 - and will include thousands of troops and vehicles on land, sea and air with the aim of preparing soldiers to "preserve the current stability in the northern sector.”

Among the advanced devices, during the maneuvers the armed forces will test multi-layered missile defense systems.

During the exercise an offensive launched by the enemy (Hezbollah) against the Galilee will be simulated.

The Israel Defense Army (IDF) will respond to the “attack” in three stages: defensive measures during the first days, including counterattacks and the deployment of defense forces similar to during an air attack, in the second stage an offensive will be unleashed with large maneuvers, and then the mission in the third stage will aim to push the enemy back into Lebanon.

The “initial Hezbollah attack” will be represented by a simulated invasion of dozens of Israeli fighters into Israeli territory and infiltration into border communities. The forces of the Rear Command (Pikud Haoref) will practice the evacuation of civilians from threatened communities; while some soldiers will act as part of the civilians in danger.

The Lower Galilee will serve as southern Lebanon, during maneuvers from route 85 (Ako-Carmiel-Amiad) to the south.

The Israel Defense Forces have highlighted that these maneuvers have been planned following the directive of the Chief of the General Staff, Gadi Eizenkot, when he assumed leadership of the armed forces in 2015, and have no relation to Iran's attempts to gain a foothold in Syria.

  1. Honestly, I don't know how you can simulate a real war and how you can practice eliminating the enemy when in a war the conditions are so different, the blood is real, the bombs kill seriously and the enemy comes with the real intention of killing. eliminate your life.
None of this can really be simulated. You can barely evaluate the effectiveness of some weapons and the state of the troops.
It's just an opinion from someone who has never been in a war. I clarify.

  2. The war is first won with intelligence services, then strategy, and let's not forget that Israel has control of the sky and the tanks with their Trophi system are unbeatable and the sea with their submarines, what they are doing is how to take the boys on the carousel
