Israel eliminates Hamas commander and 45 other operatives in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed last night through an airstrike a senior official of the Hamas terrorist group responsible for the illegal entry of weapons into the Gaza Strip.

The military spokesman specified that Muhammad Mahasneh mainly coordinated maritime smuggling, but was also in charge of obtaining weapons through tunnels under the border with Egypt and at border crossings.

“Its elimination seriously degrades the capabilities of the Hamas terrorist group to illegally introduce weapons into the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in a statement.

In recent weeks, the Israel Defense Forces have found dozens of tunnels in the Gaza area, some of which end in Egypt, and were used to traffic weapons.

At the same time, the IDF indicated that in the last day it killed around twenty Palestinian terrorists in hand-to-hand combat and in air strikes in central Gaza and another twenty-five troops in the Rafah area, in the south of the coastal enclave. .

In one of the incidents, an anti-tank missile was fired at IDF troops with no injuries reported, and an aircraft quickly bombed the house from which the missile was launched, eliminating the attacker.
