With a project led by the Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and its technology transfer company, Yissum, Israel has taken a momentous step in the field of technology.
The country has succeeded in putting into operation for the first time in its history a quantum computer developed entirely in the country. This is a 20-qubit quantum computer that will be used in various areas, from scientific research to industrial and defense applications. This development positions Israel among the leading countries in the global quantum race.
Boaz Levy, CEO of IAI, noted that “these technologies will elevate human capabilities in multiple fields. IAI’s mission is to anticipate future threats and develop solutions before they materialize, ensuring Israel’s technological advantage on the battlefields of the future.”
Hebrew University Director General Yishai Fraenkel stressed the significance of this achievement: “This multidisciplinary project strengthens Israel’s scientific and technological position and reflects our founding mission of being a pioneer in scientific research since the establishment of Israel’s first scientific institute in 1925.”
Israel the light of the world, innovating, inventing and making this planet a better place to live, Hashem bless you daughter of the ETERNAL
