President-elect Donald Trump wants the 101 hostages kidnapped by the terrorist group Hamas to be released before his proclamation as the new president of the United States, at the beginning of 2025.
This agreement follows negotiations initiated by the Biden regime, together with Israel and through the mediation of Egypt.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham traveled to Israel and Saudi Arabia to make known the goal of the US President-elect to make the release of the 101 hostages still in Gaza a reality.
In exchange for the release of Israeli civilians, the terrorist group Hamas is demanding that Israel release 800 terrorists imprisoned in the Jewish country.
Hamas representative Khalil Al Hayya made the announcement and made known five points regarding the negotiations:
- Israel must open the Rafah crossing, closed to prevent Hamas from bringing in weapons, explosives and missiles from the Sinai Desert
2. Hamas must release all hostages within a week after the signing of the truce
3. Israel can maintain a reasonable number of soldiers in certain areas of the Strip, and the rest of the battalions must return to their barracks.
4. Displaced Palestinians will be able to return to their homes
5. As in Lebanon, a ceasefire monitoring committee will be established to resolve any differences between Israel and Hamas.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said he is willing to continue negotiations with the support of Trump, who is promoting these diplomatic actions, which will take place in Egypt with the support of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
