ThaMa-Vet, by E. Nechmad Ltd, specialises in the development and manufacture of state-of-the-art automatic syringe systems and injectors for veterinary and healthcare applications, with a track record of over 60 years working with poultry, swine, cattle, aquaculture and small animal producers.

The Israeli company recently launched two new automatic products designed specifically for the aquaculture industry.

These are fixed-dose metal syringes, which allow for rapid and accurate vaccination of fish. These devices are already being used by several vaccine companies and have proven to be highly reliable in vaccinating millions of fish in humid environments.

ThaMa 405, one of the two devices, is designed for mass treatment of fish and is easy to assemble, allowing for repeated use, and ThaMa 422, a double-barrel syringe that allows two different vaccines to be administered in two different doses with a single needle, optimizing the vaccination process in aquaculture farms.

Udi Nechmad, CEO of the Petah Tikva-based company, said: “Fish farmers have expressed their frustration to us about the lack of reliable, durable and easy-to-use syringes on the market.”
