Hundreds of thousands of people are taking part in new mass protests in different parts of Israel on Saturday to demand that Benjamin Netanyahu's government seal an agreement with the Islamic terrorist group Hamas for the release of the hostages.
In Tel Aviv, more than 500.000 people took part in the largest demonstration since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, after a week marked by the call for a limited national general strike and numerous protests.
"I may appear calm, but I won't be until all the hostages return home," said Andrey Kozlov, who was also held captive in the Strip and was located by the Israel Defense Forces in the most successful rescue operation.
“Carmel held on, for eight long months, through hunger, mortal fear and bombing… and in June, when a deal was back on the table, she was back on the list. She [and the other murdered hostages] should have come home alive!” cried Gil Dickman, cousin of the now dead hostage Carmel Gal.
His body was found last week along with five other hostages in an underground tunnel in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Troops found them days after they were "executed by Hamas," according to an autopsy.
Since then, public anger towards the government has skyrocketed, with those who blame it for the deaths because it did not previously sign a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian terrorist group.
"We are at hour 11. It is too late for Carmel, but for Ohad Ben Ami, it is not too late. For Tal Shoham! Romi Gonen! You can still hug your mothers! Go out on the streets every day until he comes home alive!" exclaimed his cousin, referring to the fact that this Saturday marks eleven months of the war against Hamas in Gaza.
In the Israeli capital Jerusalem, a group of protesters also gathered in front of the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, carrying yellow flags representing the movement for the release of hostages kidnapped by Hamas.
“The regime’s lies will not bring security,” they chant.
Protesters are calling for an end to the war, the fall of the government and another general strike to push for a deal.
Of the 251 people kidnapped on October 7, 97 remain in the enclave - 33 confirmed dead - while there are another four hostages who have been held for years, including two dead soldiers.
Since the war began, Israel and Hamas only reached a one-week truce agreement in late November, which allowed the release of 105 hostages in exchange for 240 imprisoned Palestinian terrorists.

When Hussein invaded Kuwait and demanded two states, Jerusalem and Palestinian lands, President Bush Sr. said.
What does the invasion of Kuwait have to do with Jerusalem and Palestinian lands?
«Then President Bush referred to the fact that this request was blackmail against the US government, the US people and the free nations of the world.»
If the conflict between the parties that want two states, Israel and the Palestinian lands, has been prolonged not because of Israel, the world should ask itself, why?
What does Jerusalem have to do for Jorge Bergoglio and the two states with the invasion of October 7, 23, and the hostages kidnapped by Hamas?
The conflict has been prolonged because the two states include Jerusalem for BERGOGLIO, it is the blackmail of the foreign minister who asks for the two states in exchange for weapons for the defense of Israel.
Which is impossible to hand over Jerusalem to the Vatican.
If the White House is blackmailing the people of the United States over Jerusalem, as former President Bush says, then so is the Vatican for BERGOGLIO…
We ask ourselves again, as did former President George Bush:
What does the Hamas invasion on October 7, 23 and the kidnappings have to do with Jerusalem?
It is a blackmail that will not be achieved, as
This was not achieved with Hussein.
This blackmail has already led to more than 41 thousand deaths attributed to Bergoglio who wants two states.
May God bless, protect, strengthen and give wisdom to Israel and Mexico always….!!!!
I insist that it is sad to see this deplorable spectacle, thousands of Israelis following the guidelines of politicians desperate to return to the government, the argument of the captives is a front. It is true that it is regrettable that these people are going through this terrible situation, but there is
One wonders what Hamas really wants. They have no intention of laying down their arms, they just want to regroup and, above all, for Israel to withdraw from the vital Philadelphia corridor…
There is no alternative, for the moment, to the pressure that the IDF is putting on Gaza. To surrender now would be a thousand times worse than the mistakes that could have been made in the past. But I insist, what a shame that at a time when unity, support, strength are needed… the nation seems to want to fall apart.
I hope that Israel's enemies (external and internal) will be exposed and that Israel can, with the help of the Almighty, emerge unscathed from this terrible historical moment…
What a shame that more than half a million people are kneeling before the terrorist murderers of Hamas. They seem to be unaware that these spawns of hell will never settle for what they are now asking for. Soon they will kidnap other Israelis and will ask for Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River until they throw all the naive Israelis overboard.
Mr. Luis F: What military training do you have to determine that the Philadelphia corridor is of vital importance to Israel, when the majority of senior IDF officers (on duty and in the reserves) hold the opposite opinion?
Hundreds of thousands of people are demanding Israel release the hostages, ignoring the terrorist criminals of Hamas and Hezbollah who do not follow rules or have ethics.
Terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah are achieving their goal of dividing the people of Israel. Remember that their war is different and psychological; if they split or divide, they are an easy target to weaken their defensive structure. Teachers must analyze the situation so as not to lead the country to polarization.
I have never seen leftists gather together, pleading for those who defend us every day and die, nor for those who die from missiles in the south or north or in attacks... calling out to the terrorists.
