Hundreds of Israelis call for truce to be maintained while government meets

Kfir and Ariel Bibas, are being held hostage by Hamas along with their parents in Gaza, since the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023

Hundreds of Israelis gathered outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Tuesday to demand that the government honour its ceasefire and hostage release agreement with Hamas, as the president convenes his security cabinet to discuss the fragile truce.

Netanyahu today convened the government body, which includes several ministers and is designed to make decisions more quickly in times of war, after Hamas announced last night that it would pause until further notice the sixth release of hostages from the ceasefire, scheduled for this Saturday..

US President Donald Trump said yesterday that Israel 'can do whatever it wants' if Hamas does not release hostages on Saturday, a message that sectors of the government took advantage of to demand that Netanyahu return to the fighting.

"We must give Hamas an ultimatum. Cut off electricity and water, stop humanitarian aid.“Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich told a religious forum ahead of a security cabinet meeting.

Smotrich also called for making it clear to Hamas that if anything happens to the hostages still in Gaza after Israel resumes fighting and has “arrested all the terrorists,” The country will keep 5% of Gaza's territory for every kidnapped person killed.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Israelis protest in front of the president's office, demanding that Israel return all the hostages and that comply with the ceasefire agreement to the end.

  1. Those same hundreds who are protesting have become tools of Hamas terrorist murderers by protesting as they do, instead of insisting that Israel wipe out all Hamas members and all enemies of Israel in the MO.
