On Tuesday, actress Gal Gadot received an important recognition in Los Angeles, United States. The actress who played Wonder Woman became the first Israeli performer to receive a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
During the emotional ceremony in Los Angeles, Gadot recalled her Israeli roots and dedicated the recognition to her family and to the young women who dream of achieving their goals: “I'm just a girl from a small town in Israel,” the actress said, adding that “if a girl from Rosh Ha'Ayin can get a star on Hollywood Boulevard, then anything is possible.”
Her husband, Jaron Varsano, and her four daughters also participated in the event. The actress emphasized the importance of her family in her career. In her speech, she spoke directly to her daughters: “Being your Imma "It's the greatest privilege of my life. You inspire me to be a better person—stronger, braver, and kinder, just like you."
She also received praise from her colleagues Vin Diesel, her partner in the Fast and Furious saga, and Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman.
Jenkins recounted that “many times she was outdoors in winter, in thunderstorms, in rigid armor that squeezed her like a corset, running through mud, or suspended in midair. And yet, she always gave powerful performances and remained the happiest, kindest, and most heroic person on the set.”
