Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr., one of the most famous American boxers in history, having been crowned world champion in five different categories, announced through his social networks a new charity program for Israel.
This is what he calls the Mayweather Israel Initiative, a program that will help orphans in Israel, and he pledges to deliver birthday gifts to every orphan in the country over the next year.
The former boxer posted the news on his Instagram account after an event organized by Standing Together in Israel, an organization led by Shai Graucher that supports various humanitarian causes, such as purchasing household appliances for military bases and organizing vacations for widows and orphans.
Mayweather said he is “proud to announce the Mayweather Israel Initiative. Over the next year, all orphans in Israel will be visited by the Floyd Mobile and receive special birthday gifts. To all widows and orphans: keep your heads up as we honor the precious memories of those who have passed away. A heartfelt thank you to Shai Graucher for his incredible work in making this possible.”
