Relatives of the Israeli hostages Hamas plans to release on Saturday are preparing to welcome them to Israel, even though the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet commented on the releases.

In a message on social media, Sagui Dekel-Chen's wife Avital shared a photo with two of her three daughters with the message “Letting everyone know that daddy is coming home.”

Dekel-Chen, 36, a dual Israeli-American citizen, was kidnapped on October 7 after leaving his wife and daughters in a shelter and setting out to try to confront Hamas terrorists.

Two months later, Avital gave birth to her third daughter, who still does not know her father.

Meanwhile, Lena Trufanov, the mother of 29-year-old Russian-Israeli hostage Sasha (Alexander) Trufanov, travelled to the place where she is expected to meet her son tomorrow after his release in Gaza.

The woman, who was also kidnapped on October 7 and released during the November 2023 truce, She has become religious over the past year, so she came to the meeting place a day before the release to keep the shabbat.

Hamas announced that it intends to free Trufanov, Dekel-Chen and the Argentine-born Israeli hostage Iair Horn, 46, kidnapped along with his brother Eitan, tomorrow.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office initially said it had accepted the list with the three names, but later backtracked, saying Israel had only "received" it. "This was merely a description of the facts and does not reflect an Israeli position," the president's office said in a brief statement.

However, Channel 12, the most watched news channel on television, said the families had been informed that the release was expected tomorrow at 09.30:XNUMX a.m. local time.
