Elbit Systems, the Israeli defense company, announced the sale of its advanced anti-missile technology for installation on Airbus A350s, the official aircraft used by Germany's leaders.

German aircraft will use the innovative J-MUSIC™ DIRCM directed infrared countermeasures system (Directed Infrared Countermeasures), in an agreement that represents the first project to install this technology on A350 aircraft. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Lufthansa Technik.

Wolfgang Bauer, CEO of Elbit Systems Deutschland, expressed his pride in “working with Lufthansa Technik on this important project and we look forward to further strengthening the impact of our solutions.”

On the other hand, Oren Sabag, general manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW, stated that its “DIRCM technology has consistently demonstrated its reliability and effectiveness, consolidating itself as a market leader and innovator in this very important field.”

Michael von Puttkamer, Vice President Special Aircraft Services at Lufthansa Technik, stressed: “The global security situation requires Germany to ensure the protection of its leaders. We are proud of this landmark project with Elbit Systems and Airbus and look forward to contributing our expertise.”
