Founded in 1966 and with more than 11.000 employees worldwide, the Israeli company Elbit Systems is one of the leading technology companies manufacturing electronic defense materials.

It also has a presence in the United States and in 2005 jointly created a company in the United Kingdom with Thales, UAV Tactical Systems Ltd. (U-TacS), for the development of the Watchkeeper WK450 UAV to serve in the British Army.

Recently, elbit Systems announced the signing of two contracts with a combined value of $175 million for the supply of advanced electronic self-protection (EW) and directed infrared countermeasures (DIRCM) systems with a European NATO member country.

The EW systems will be installed on Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft and Airbus H225M helicopters of the country's air force, while the contract related to the C-390s also includes an agreement with another European country.

Oren Sabag, CEO of the Israeli company, highlighted the importance of these contracts: “With our self-protection systems installed on more than 30 types of aircraft and deployed in numerous countries, including several NATO members, Elbit Systems is recognized as a global leader in electronic warfare and DIRCM technology.”
