Singer Amy Winehouse He was born on September 14, 1983 in London, United Kingdom. There are just a few days left until what would have been her 40th birthday. On the occasion of that celebration, her family gathered a series of handwritten letters, unpublished photos and fragments of her diary and published them along with “Amy Winehouse: in her words”, a biography that accompanies this new collection.

Amy died in 2011, at only 27 years old, as a result of alcohol poisoning. Many accused her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, and her father, Mitch Winehouse, of her problems with alcohol and drugs.

In the new collection published to raise money for her foundation, the public can access the intimate story of the legendary singer's life. And throughout these records, her heritage and her relationship with Judaism can be seen and sensed.

In the images of his own funeral, you can see how the men are wearing kippahs. But in newly released photos, Winehouse is seen attending a Jewish garden, participating in Bat Mitzvah ceremonies and singing Jewish music throughout her childhood. In addition, the singer enjoyed getting together for parties, and she also, on many occasions, wore a necklace with a Star of David.
