The ultranationalist Jewish Power party, which is part of the current government of Benjamin Netanyahu, will not vote together with the coalition in the Knesset (Parliament) until the prime minister shows his partners the content of the new proposal for a truce agreement in the Gaza Strip.

"As long as the prime minister continues to hide the details of the agreement, Jewish Power will torpedo his coalition," the leader of that party and current Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, indicated on his X account.

Both Ben Gvir and the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich - who leads the Religious Zionism formation, also on the extreme right - have threatened to leave the government coalition if Israel accepts a truce agreement with Hamas that contemplates in any of its phases the end of the conflict.

Last week, the US president, Joe Biden, announced that a new draft agreement had been presented to Hamas, which already had the approval of Israel and which included the definitive cessation of hostilities in a second phase, although Netanyahu later refused. He distanced himself from that point.

The prime minister defended that the proposal does not go against his main war objectives: "to destroy Hamas and bring back the hostages", while the Islamic terrorists demand as a condition the end of hostilities and the withdrawal of troops. .

Two days ago, Ben Gvir indicated that Netanyahu had promised to show him the document with the draft agreement, but that when he went to his office twice to read it, he never showed it to him.

The extreme right, represented in the Jewish Power and Religious Zionism parties, has 14 seats in the Knesset vital for the survival of the current Netanyahu government, which now has 64 deputies in a parliament of 120 seats. Aurora and EFE

  1. The minister's demand is very logical... It is logical that the Minister and others do not want to reward HAMAS FOR ITS EXECRABLE CRIMES, WHICH WOULD BE AN INDUCEMENT FOR THE KILLERS AND TO CONTINUE THE PATH OF CRIMES AND KIDNAPPING.
To the French clown, anyway, they are like HAMAS to the votes that are held in the UN, I repeat myself... and others like the French are the same
