It is very common to think that all “healthy” snacks are actually beneficial for the body. But many of them contain harmful ingredients, such as sugar or preservatives.

It is difficult to find a product on the market that gives you energy quickly and is healthy. The truth is that many of these snacks, such as cereal bars, granola or protein snacks, use sugar because it is the ingredient that unites all the other ingredients.

Although in general they do not use refined white sugar, they do incorporate sweeteners such as date paste, honey or glucose. These elements that reduce the nutritional value of the product. Therefore, even though these snacks include protein and healthy elements such as nuts, grains or fruits, they do not end up being a totally nutritious food product.

Torr FoodTech is a startup Israeli who developed innovative food technology to solve this problem. With a special combination of ultrasonic sound waves, imperceptible to the human ear, the healthy ingredients are compressed dry, without the need for another element.

In addition to producing healthier snacks, this technique requires 70% less energy for its production than the traditional one. This was stated by Vered Kirsch, vice president of the company. Furthermore, he confirmed that the startup already collaborates in Israel with the Strauss Group to produce a line that will be marketed in the coming months.
