Belong.Life is an Israeli company based in Moshav Bnei Atarot, near Tel Aviv. Since its creation, it has already raised more than 30 million dollars. However, the people behind this company explain that the patient always comes first. When you do good, then business goes well, they explain.

They have been working for some time to develop a digital tool for the containment and support of patients with Cancer. This goal started as something personal. The mother of Irad Deutsch, one of the founders and the company's CTO, was diagnosed with lung cancer eight years ago.

Deutsch explains that he learned a lot from the experience. He understood that for people diagnosed with cancer, treatment can mean an overwhelming whirlwind of emotions, doctors and complicated terminology.

The Belong.Life co-founder explained that, despite all his experience in data and digital, he realized he couldn't understand what she was experiencing or use his skills to help.

That's why after that he decided that he was going to help other families who were going through the same thing. The result they arrived at was Belong, a free social media app for cancer patients.

In it, patients and their families can share their experiences anonymously, as well as advice for coping with the rigors of treatment and facing the inevitable emotional challenges. The app also seeks to involve oncology doctors who share their specific knowledge with users in a safe environment.
