The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that one reserve soldier was killed and two others were wounded, including a senior officer who is in critical condition, when an explosive device planted on the side of the road exploded last night in Samaria, northern West Bank.

The fallen fighter was identified as Staff Sergeant (Reserve) Eviatar Ben Yehuda, 31, who served in the 8211th Reserve Battalion of the Efraim Regional Brigade. Ben Yehuda was originally from Nitzan, a religious community located in the south of the country.

Initial investigations suggest the soldiers were travelling in a David ultralight armoured vehicle on patrol in the Palestinian town of Tammun, 13 kilometres from Nablus, when a high-powered device was detonated.

Ben Yehuda was killed in the blast and the commander of the reserve battalion was seriously injured. Another soldier was moderately injured.

    1. When Gaza is rebuilt, why don't we make neighborhoods in the West Bank that will allow them to leave?
And we are recovering the West Bank
