The Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) released its annual nationwide Democracy index report for 2024. According to the published data, more than half of Israelis believe that democracy in the country is under threat.

The study also showed that, while it has improved somewhat in recent months, trust in the government and the Knesset fell to historic lows following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023: a year later, only 16% of the population trusts parliament and 25% trusts the government.

Trust in the Supreme Court also hit its lowest level on record, with approval at 39%. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) remains the institution with the highest public support, at 77%.

Nearly half of Israelis, 48.5%, considered the country to be in a bad or very bad situation, yet two-thirds of citizens still believe that Israel is a good place to live.

Finally, 58% of Israelis believe that democracy is in danger, and the figure rises to 77,5% among the Arab population. Only 38% of right-wing voters express this concern, while it is 94% among left-wing voters.

  1. The political bias of this leftist, partial and tendentious survey that Aurora spreads without comment is very evident, with the political aim of creating resentment, chaos and confusion among its readers. The vast majority are ungrateful, seditious and coup-monger left-wing South Americans, refugees, and many are openly anti-Zionist, like the Timermans were!!!

  2. Those who believe that democracy is in danger do not know how to distinguish when they live in it because of their level of ignorance
