This winter, the Israel Aquarium in Jerusalem announced a move that caught the public's attention.
Every Thursday, regular visiting hours will be extended until 7 p.m., giving visitors a unique opportunity to explore the facility and see how fish, turtles and other aquatic creatures perform at night.
Evening visitors will be able to learn about the workings behind the exhibits, including the water supply system for marine ecosystems, and will be able to chat with fish keepers about the different habitats for the animals and methods of feeding the sea turtles.
In addition, the aquarium has two special exhibits open to the public: Creatures Speak, by artist Dudy Shamay, available on weekends and holidays, and Under the sea, a collection of marine life-inspired jewelry created by the Yael Shkedi School of Jewelry.
