In the context of war and increasing political and social uncertainty, Israel's technology ecosystem is facing challenges. One of the main concerns is the worrying shortage of engineers and specialists, threatening the development of key technologies for the country.
To address this crisis, Israel Nevo Labs was created, an initiative of American investor Sender Cohen, known for managing funds for figures such as George Soros and Stanley Druckenmiller.
This is an ambitious project that seeks to raise $800 million to establish a scientific research and commercial innovation laboratory, focused on strategic areas such as synthetic biology, quantum computing and artificial intelligence, with the aim of reversing the brain drain, attracting talent and maintaining Israel's competitiveness in advanced technologies.
Cohen has joined forces with Michael Eisenberg, co-founder of Aleph, and Adam Fisher, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, to recruit investors and bring the initiative to fruition.
