The huge fragment of a missile fired last night by Yemen's Houthi terrorists, and intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) air defenses, was found in the center of the country.
A piece measuring more than a metre long was found in the courtyard of a house in the town of Beer Yaakov, a city located between Rishon Letzion and Nes Ziona, south of Tel Aviv.
A police source said the fragments fell in at least three different places.
This is the second night in a row that the Iranian-sponsored and armed terrorist group has launched a ballistic missile at central Israel, which has become almost a frequent nightly occurrence.
Houthi terrorists, who are predominantly followers of the Zaidi Shia sect of Islam (as opposed to the Twelver or Imam Shiism that predominates in the Islamic Republic of Iran), claimed responsibility for last night's ballistic missile attack on Israel.
The Houthi terrorists boasted that they had launched the missile at a “military target” in the Tel Aviv area and claimed without providing evidence that “the operation had been successful and achieved its objectives.”
The Yemeni insurgent organization, supported by Iran, has increased its drone and ballistic missile attacks against Israel in recent days, arguing that they do so to support the Palestinians of Gaza in the context of the war that the Islamic terrorist group Hamas unleashed on October 7, 2023 against the Jewish State.
